Have you ever had to break someone who loves you?

Help. I hate this.
SW-User
Break like how ?
SW-User
@LAlexV oh your young you’ll get over it. It takes some time but time will heal .. if you let it
LAlexV · M
@SW-User I already have my choice person. I’m over it before it it began. I’m a
demon 😑
SW-User
@LAlexV popcorn playa !
SW-User
The worst is when you love that person too and you just have to leave. Yea that happened but no regrets
Menetics · 26-30, F
@SW-User loving someone doesn’t always make them a good person and vice versa.
Dusty101 · F
I have, because it wasn't fair leading him on. So I went out for a drink with him, told him it wasn't working, I needed to be on my own and it wouldn't be fair on him. I didn't get into the nitty gritty details!
I just left it at that.
I seriously did want to be on my own.
Miram · 31-35, F
I'd be taking too much credits if I say yes.

I don't think we can break anyone, it is team work and they will mend their wounds.
@Miram anyone with ptsd knows people can be broken...or did I not read that right?
Miram · 31-35, F
@Mandalorian You are right about that. But I mean in break ups.
@Miram I see what you mean..I think generally speaking you'd be right...but there are cases where people even suicide over a break up, but pinning that down to one single thing would be difficult to assess I guess..
SW-User
He didn't love me. I loved him and he broke up with me.
LAlexV · M
@SW-User Six months isn’t too long in the end. I’m so sorry you’re hurting, but remember now you have gained another filter the next one has to make it through. There’s an end there and with every one willing to end it you get closer to one who can’t imagine ever doing it.
SW-User
@LAlexV 🙂 seems like I should be able to get over him quickly since he has treated me so badly. But I don't know it's still hard.
LAlexV · M
@SW-User Damn. Let it be. Love and time don’t go together. Allow yourself this process. One of my therapists one told me to stop “shoulding” all over myself. You earned your pain.
Thankfully nobody loves me
SW-User
@DarlingSelah I'm sure that's not true
LAlexV · M
@DarlingSelah Mm you have a blurry pink square as an avatar and remain memorable I beg to differ
@SW-User lol i mean romantically
Tnebigbadwolf · 36-40, M
Yep, many times. It was awful at the time, but was totally worth it in the end.
SW-User
Yes. I've never handled it well frankly.
One guy. I regret it to this day. Felt horrible when I came to my senses months later.
@LAlexV yeah i really wish i could fix it. Are you breaking up with someone?
LAlexV · M
@lulaluboo Sort of.
@LAlexV GL
SW-User
Yes as it is a fact of life, and part of growing up. I had it happen to me and I did it to others.
meggie · F
Yes he had nothing to offer me and was a burden.
Yes, but I felt I had no other choice at the time...
ammelee · F

LAlexV · M
@Menetics oh hey i’m drunk and finger spazzed and deleted your reply i’m
sorry
Menetics · 26-30, F
@LAlexV it's fine lol.

Our relationship was holding us back from the things we wanted to achieve and we both know it. We hoped and already planned for our future but after years of trying to break it off, I finally did it earlier this year. We didn't break it off right off the bat, we tried comprising so we won’t regret anything in the future so when the time comes, we already know it's finally over. You can call it a long-term break-up I guess 😆
