Not many people see banter as humour. More people see it as trolling and even as hate speech. There is nothing wrong with humour, but it should not be directed at the other person, it should be something both can mutually laugh at like a play on words or something.

I've been blocked by several here. I wonder how they handle the real world.

Yes....there is a lot of banter about the Welsh and sheep on here.(we have a(completely false) reputation)..I love it.i remember when it first started in another place I had to assure everyone it was okay.Because I have a sense of humour.....and as time as gone by others have joined in.
Banter is great.....but if someone doesn't get it not a lot we can do.

One thing I have learned, the hard way, is that "banter" is fine once two people have already established trust for one another, but that in the absence of that trust, it can come across as hurtful.

So, before I would ask someone to understand my sense of humor, I need to first understand their life experiences and the sensitivities that have arisen from those experiences.
