Have you ever had a memory/memories that you can't get rid of(yet)?

They say time heals the wounds but yet I feel all of it strike me. I keep myself occupied and I barely have time but I get the painful memories on my way to work or sometimes I'm reminded of them in my day to day experiences. I try my best to forget by keeping myself occupied but they choose to haunt me which eventually hurts me even though I don't talk about it anymore.

Has this happened to you?

I have the worst memories one can imagine. Nobody would want them. I also have wonderful memories. I dwell on those.

Time doesn’t heal wounds, time replaces memories with new ones.
The old ones get pushed back, but they still remain

I have a great memory and all I have to do is think of one and it takes me right back in that moment of how I felt and a lot of it is sadness - it's a blessing and a curse

Yes it happens very often, trying to get a good night sleep is almost impossible, good luck getting a grip on those memories,
