Does anyone else have to make deals with themselves in order to get their housework done?

Today I had to be VERY stern with myself. Here are some of the things I said to myself: "NO genealogy until the dishes are done!!! NO MORE BAKING until the kitchen is cleaned up!"

"GET DRESSED and take out the TRASH or you are not allowed to make banana bread tomorrow!" " DO YOUR Sheets, blankets and comforter and bathmat or else the cat will continue to sleep on your pillow...😆"

Did just that myself today...just willpower and just a dash of ciggie break .
My will power is not exactly the greatest those days but I used delayed gratification quite often.

@Elessar I am soooo obsessive about genealogy...I love doing it...and I seem to have an intuition for it that others lack...but the housework really gets neglected. I am waiting for the timer to go off right now, and then I will go downstairs to see if the laundry is done. Man I hate housework...😛

@4meAndyou I've a few things in mind to keep the workload to the minimum. For instance, buying only one colour of clothes from now on.. so no more separated laundries 😂
