For 13-1/2 months I worked from 6:00 AM-11:30 PM, 7 days per week, no holidays or days off but it was 5 days on and 1 day off. During that time I averaged 3-1/2 to 4 hours of sleep a night. It took everything I had to maintain that schedule and there were days that when I left the office I could not drive due to exhaustion and would have to get a hotel.
I can comfortably get by on 5 hours sleep a night but anything less takes a toll and I will eventually sleep in.
Sleeping more is easy if you have the time to do so.

I slept like shit for a few a years, mostly 2-3 hour blocks two or three times a night. I noticed that when I didn't go back to sleep after one block I'd be more energetic and well rested. And after doing that the past four-ish years my sleep in steadily improving. I get like 6 hours every night now B)

It's very weird. Usually more sleep makes me more tired when I wake up, but little sleep makes me angry. But when I'm with friends for the weekend, I can get very little sleep (like four hours or less) and feel perfectly fine the next day.

I haven't slept well in many years. I've always had energy early in the morning, so I cant sleep in and Im too messed up to nap. I don't feel safe. Lots of nightmares.

Sometimes little sleep helps my anxiety, sometimes it makes it worse. A bit of a gamble. A lot of sleep helps greatly with my temper and muscle control.
