Job dilemma

So I'll try and sum this up succinctly.

I currently have a job on a Friday cleaning holiday (vacation) lodges. I did my first shift last week and it's really brutal, hard work, not enough time to do a proper clean etc. One hour for a three bed, kitchen cleaning, multiple bathrooms and living areas between the two of us. It's impossible to do a good job and with covid around its worrying.

I've also been offered a Saturday job cleaning a 4 bed holiday home, but I have little experience. I'm not sure why the guy hired me actually aside from him saying he had a "very strong feeling" I was right for the job. I didn't have an interview or anything.

The money is amazing, I could literally just do the five hours a week and get by (and I can clean decently, I have worked as a cleaner in the past and do my own house obviously) but I'm feeling uneasy about it, especially as I got zero feedback last Friday about my cleaning the lodges. He's going to send me more info tomorrow and he's said they'll help for the whole month while I get used to the house but what would you do? Just do lots of research and then go and try and wing it? I'm not a professional by any means and that's what's worrying me.

What is your dilemma? I’d try the Saturday job and see how it goes before giving your notice at the Friday place.

@Fallflower more than a bit of imposter syndrome I'm afraid! 😂 I'll work hard definitely and hope I do a decent job!

@Starsandfire Just remember that a lot of people feel like imposters, even CEOs. They will love you! Good luck!

Do the best you can do with the time allotted. No one can ask for more. And Hopefully it's a good enough job for them to continue with you.

Wing it... I’m sure your pass with flying colours 😀

To follow up, the cottage job is brilliant and I'm glad I gave it a chance!
