What makes a person become racist?

are they mad black people are finally speaking out? Do they prefer them quiet like they were back then?

Alright... So I was a racist little shit when I was younger. Nothing I'm proud of. And long story short: I wanted to feel superior. That was pretty much it. My motivation came from years of bullying by immigrants but that doesn't make it any better.
It was me wanting to feel superior. Pretty lame if anyone's like that as a kid, and even more lame as an adult.

Racism is stupid. Its the way our govt handles the issue that brings intollerance.

Yes racists prefer the quiet. They are very easy to upset. You can tell cause they get upset over something as innocuous as colors.

Yes. They just want them to shut up and stop complaining about being killed.

they feel anxious insecure insignificant. example: i lost my job and i have no prospects, i'm vulnerable and i'm scared about the future.

they look for acceptance and belonging. example: KKK is powerful in my community, they said they care about me because i'm white, to join them all i have to do is hate other ethnic groups

they feel guilty for their short comings and release the burden by assigning blame on others outside their group to temporarily feel better. example: i feel awful that i lost my job, i have no money and i don't have a future - the KKK told me those immigrants took my job away, this makes me really mad and i think that those immigrants should be punished.

Re: Do they prefer them quiet like they were back then?

any oppression fuels their false feeling of belonging and security. it escalates - starts with putting them down, then suppressing their freedom, then slavery, then ethnic cleansing. the root issue doesn't get addressed - the fascist leadership profit - and the followers who adopted racism as away of life are left alone with their sins and the burden of their failures. sad.

@tenente Didn't know the KKK was powerful anyplace in the US. Maybe you're from Mars!
