Anyone else ever do this?

Anyone else ever spend an inordinate amount of time (say, 5-10 minutes) wondering where the song “Buddy Holly” fits into the [i]Grease[/i] soundtrack and why a show set in the 50s would reference Mary Tyler Moore so much, only to then remember it’s a Weezer song?

I think you mean Happy Days (not TMTMS) but I understand what you’re saying. Spike did a great job at recreating the “look and feel” of the original show...(that and getting the Fonz for a cameo dance never hurts.) fun times when MTV played this in the after school afternoon hours and it seemed like every single person my age watched religiously myself included especially when 120 mins on Sunday night was like taking a class in Indie Rock of the time. Yes it’s still commercialized MTV but it’s also about as “legit” as a big corporate business like Viacom can get and I’m glad that I got to experience it.
