Interesting thing about the masks and breathing troubles

You can breath perfectly fine, your brain just thinks it can't.

Your brain: Hey, the mouth and nose are covered. This can only mean we're being deprived of oxygen. I'll tell the lungs to breath harder in order to compensate.

Also your brain: Hey, I'm breathing a lot despite having plenty of oxygen. This must mean I'm struggling to breath.

PS: Obviously, if you're asthmatic or have existing respiratory issues it's different.

For those of us with reduced or comprised lung function due to thinks like either asthma or copd breathing in with a mask on is far more challenging than for the average person.

Personally I thought I'd be able to manage it despite the asthma and was really looking forward to wearing funky masks but having bought one and tried it out, it was soon apparent it wasn't wise, so I've a face shield instead.

The various mask shamers I've seen here seem to be blissfully unaware that some of us are medically exempt from having to wear a mask.

@AntisocialTroll I take it you didn't read the last bit I put there?

@RedwoodBarman Oh you mean the bit you edited in after my reply....

It was not there when I opened your Q to answer it...

@AntisocialTroll I added that seconds after originally posting. Sorry.

They say that the cloth masks don't build up enough CO2 to cause issues. Now doing a lot of labor intensive things in a sealed N95? Maybe. Really the only time I had issues breathing in a mask is when I first developed symptoms.

Until I got to the end I was getting triggered, because of this mask bullshit my lawyer is no longer a waste of money.

Just this, for those on the Right thinking it interferes with their life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness:

only issue i have with masks is its causing my lips to dry out n crack a bit :(
RedwoodBarman · 31-35, M
@NeloAngelo Yeah, that's irritating.
Chevy454 · 46-50, M
Problem is, it doesn’t do anything.
RedwoodBarman · 31-35, M
@Chevy454 It's more effecting than not having one at all.
