I would say its worse than that. We don't even get to the "talking about politics" part. We're so habituated to leading with loaded invective that we start triggered and never get to common ground and the possibility of mutual understanding or solutions to real problems.

Me: "Do you want toast or sausage with your eggs?"

Bob: "Are you asking if I'm a fucktard liberal vegan?"

What's truly sad is that if those same people got as passionate about the plight of the homeless or retired Vets. or kids in the care system.......imagine what they might get done !

It does make an enormous difference to the people living here. We have anarchists, mobs and riots in our streets. Because everything is politicized now, we are not even allowed to have law and order. It's a war zone in most major cities...soldiers who are present say it's worse than Afghanistan.

If you like Afghanistan, I suppose we should all just quietly submit so as not to annoy your royalness.

And a decent number of the ones talking about American politics aren't even American.
