Why do people ask questions on here they don't actually want an answer too?

@hartfire yes this could be very true. Just alittle irritating lol. Don't get me wrong I have no problem having disagreements with people but once you start calling people names that's not a disagreement you're purposely trying to be rude and mean because they don't agree with you. That I don't understand.

Some people are addicted to anger and/or one-up-man-ship. It gives them a momentary shot of adrenaline which can feel powerful and energised. It can also give them the temporary self-perception of

"Eliciting information" is to provoke thought, discussion, expression ... and opinion is information

Thus, I try to ask, at the end of my posts ... what information I am seeking to elicit ... or the which discussion process I suggest be followed.

Smiling... sometimes we do not have to ask ... sometimes we paint an irony ... some times comic ... with the implication for response ... without ever asking a literal question.

Those are just as effective

@Interestingguy again that's fine and I have no problem with having disagreements with people but I don't understand the need to call people names and my case that's what happened LOL we can disagree all day and even talk it out and don't have to come to an agreement at the end. I'm not the one who asked the question so honestly you comment doesn't even make much sense to me. 🤔
