A Snake just bit my dog and a bird

Did the snake have a triangle shaped head?

Ask him, a triangular shape head means it was a venomous snake. The venom glands caused the triangle shape

@AnonymousJSS No, I'm in the remote area and the dog bite was several days ago ( I wasn't here at the time)
The bird was moments ago and then we saw the snake then we realized

@reflectingmonkey My dog is fine now.

@REMsleep I suggest you at least shave the hair around the wound so that no hair can reach it. wounds get infected fast if the hair touches it. ( had dogs all my life, last one lived 20 years)

@reflectingmonkey Thanks I've had him 12 yrs since he was a baby. We have 2 properties and I wasn't staying here when this occurred. I just got here. Its also Sunday so Vets are closed.

@Northwest lol. I know what I'm doing. I'm 120 miles from the nearest Vet and they are closed today.
I'm in a desert wide open for hundreds of miles. There is no exterminator for the wilderness

@REMsleep My understanding of snakes, is that they don't bite just for the hell of it, only when threatened. The dog might have spooked it, but the bird would have been a prey, and the snake would have swallowed it, and then gone off to digest.
