This is sad but true

Eh, in any society you'll have shallow people, and that goes for both genders. Western civ still has some fairly serious equality issues like income disparity and stuff, but I wish people didn't talk about basic human neurology as if it were a form of institutional oppression.

I think that’s now, but that statement just about shits on the suffrage movement, it disregards Rosa Parks and Marie Curie. If that’s truly how people see the contribution of woman today and what they can offer, we’ve lost our way as a society.

@Longpatrol eh it's just true though. :(

It's part of a totally natural process not a mythical patriarchal society.

Humans' primary sense is sight and as such we generally select mates based on visual appearance.

This is as true for men as it is for women.

It's not a forced social construct. It's the way things have developed over thousands of years.

'People' ARE valued for their visual appearance. It is not however ALL they are valued for.

Sad but true, that being said, it's not just women, as it's also true for men (unless they're very rich or very powerful, but I'm pretty sure that this exception goes for women too)

Overall, sad but true.
However, individually, some men find intelligence just as attractive. Even more so.

@Montanaman yeah, it's good not every one is the same.
