No more difficult than developing a relationship with anyone else!

Show interest in the other person.
Talk to them, often.
Share your thoughts, listen to theirs.

Not rocket surgery! LOL
@Budwick things are not that simple

@sspec I try to but I think it's me who messes things up

Things are never simple.

You are unable to show interest?
You are unable to talk?
You are unable to listen?

Admitting that took some courage.

You might want to mention it, when opening to Mom and Dad.
@Budwick I lost my dad four years ago.
Only have my mom.

@darkknightt Sorry about your Dad.
You said PARENTS in your opening statement.
There was no way to know.

So, work on the relationship with Mom.
Don't let her pass without having tried.
@Budwick thanks, I am trying to be more patient with her
