@SW-User they really did, the Saxon kingdoms beat the Vikings out of Britain and united to create England. The last battle they lost was Stamford Bridge

@SirenCalledLuce Good Point, I did forget a out that in fairness. After Stamford Bridge Harold took a Norman arrow in the eye a couple of weeks later at Hastings. The Normans created England. Ironically Norman’s are actually Vikings who walked rather than used boats.

@SW-User Nah. England existed in its own right before Hastings. And the Norman’s had been in France 200 years and weren't culturally vikings anymore. That would be like calling present day Americans British.
