I am not a racist in any way but...if you're not black, why are you trying to pretend that you are?

IDK
When people are black, why do they try to be white?
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
@Ingwe Why can't people simply be themselves?
Peppa · 31-35, F
@Ingwe this is the type of response you get back. History and a lack of understanding of the priveledge allows people to deflect this question and treat it like its something very stupid to ask in the first place

@Peppa Exactly! Why in the hell should I be afraid to ask this question and just how does it make me racist to do so?
Peppa · 31-35, F
@MeowsoliniReturns if a person where brought up in Jamaican or by Jamaican parents for example, them knowing the culture, speaking the dialect, and acting more like Jamaicans would be acceptable, because when we grow we learning through mimicking. But if you are not exposed to any of those things i feel it's an insult and almost like another form that conquer mentality.
It may be unconcious but I think it's a priveledge and entitled mentality, I must know everything...!
