Is there anyone else that thinks China has way under-reported their death toll ? Cause when I look at the rest of the world’s total cases and theirs is extremely high (for now), their death toll seems too small ... [image deleted]

China is a communist country. When the government says stay in they stay in.

I saw a photo of a factory back at work on its lunch break. They were sitting alone on stalls equally spaced distance apart eating lunches from home.

They also used various meds to treat it. Some worked and some didn't. I don't know what other government is doing but really they ought to use the med that worked in China.

Italy didn't stay in. UK didn't stay in.

India dealt better with it on its outbreak than Italy or the UK.

Basically if it was a worse virus, the western capitalist world would be completely f'd.
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@windinhishair very true ...
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@YoungDawg66 in India two people escaped an airport and didn't get detained. 10000 Indian army soldiers went after them, shut down and quarentined anywhere they'd been and then detained everyone and tested them.

That's organisation. We can't even stop people travelling on buses. Let alone catch someone with CV19 on a bus and detain the whole bus and test it.

It's totally the people in individual countries causing this to spread.
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@Paliglass this truly is a scourge of being ‘connected’ ...
FurryFace · 61-69, M
they say its under control but i doubt that , thing is they'd rather Lie than be ignored in the trade and world economics or they're country goes under its as clear as that
@FurryFace same
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@FurryFace Wonder how many “natural causes” deaths they had in the elderly population during the last 3-4 months ?
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@YoungDawg66 china japan Tokyo the most populated place in the world besides India , think about it
dale74 · M
They only reported those that actually were treated in a hospital and who died in a hospital are the only ones they reported in China which is socialism everyone has to pay to see a doctor there is no national healthcare like people want to say.
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@dale74 good point ...
ThePerfectUsername · 70-79, M
China just happened to be the largest medical appliance manufacturer on the planet, which no doubt helped them deal with it. They've since sent teams of corvid-19 specialist to other counties which further demonstrates that (at least now) they have a handle on it that most other countries are lacking.

And if anyone's mortality rate stnds out as being suspiciously low on that graphic I'd suggest it would be the USA's with 66% of china's total cases but with only 11% of china's total deaths.
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@ThePerfectUsername I’ve wondered about that too, but most ‘experts’ suggest that the US is at the beginning of the outbreak and I expect those numbers to grow dramatically in the next few weeks, especially as medical supplies (especially ventilators) run low ...
ThePerfectUsername · 70-79, M
Help may be at hand with those ventilators. While Trump's busily blaming everyone else for the shortage Elon Musk went online and bought a batch of 12 thousand of them to be used foc anywhere in the US. Guess where he found them? China.
@YoungDawg66
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@ThePerfectUsername 12,000 ventilators will only make a small dent in what is needed. New York State alone needs 30,000 more than they have on hand in the next 2-3 weeks, or people will die for the lack of ventilators. The feds sent 400 as of yesterday, though they have promised to send 4000 this week.
curiosi · 61-69, F
They have been saying all along that China has fudged the numbers.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@curiosi there you is cute kitty
curiosi · 61-69, F
@FurryFace Still nice to have you back!!
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@curiosi aaww !
Orlbe · 26-30, F
I saw horrific videos about it on Facebook last night😥
Glad I am in Australia then...
China...withholding the truth?

Naaaahh...can't be...
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@Mandalorian I know right ...
I dont trust China😑
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
I think all countries over reported the deaths I don’t think all these people died of this virus. They probably died of of another Illness. They just want to put fear in people.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
Could be that they are better at dealing with it or could be bs figures. Who knows?
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@Burnley123 could be ... but Italy was ranked as the 2nd best health care system in the world, and they’ve been decimated ..,
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@YoungDawg66 Their identification and isolation has failed badly though. I dunno.
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@Burnley123 yeah ... they kinda screwed the pooch in isolation early on ...
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
So now every time someone dies of cancer heart disease or another illness they going say they died of this virus
Bagalamaga · 56-60, M
According to Chinese people I know,the death rate was in the ten thousands back when 800 was the official count. Life has no value in a communist country
windinhishair · 61-69, M
China's death rate is very close to the world average, so their numbers may be correct.
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@windinhishair could it be that they ‘truly’ understood how dangerous it was at the onset and took better precautions to start with ?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@YoungDawg66 Possibly. Remember that China had vast experience with SARS about 15 years ago and knew how to deal with a similar virus. Also, it is likely that the numbers seen in China did not overwhelm their health care system to the extent being seen in Italy.
NeuroticByNature · 41-45, F
Or they over reported it to cover for a biological attack on the world.
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@NeuroticByNature I sure wouldn’t put it past any of them ...
Everything is possible at this point.
YoungDawg66 · 56-60, M
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Scary times we are living in ...
@YoungDawg66 True. I never felt so close to my government though, for the first time ever I feel that they care. The Egyptian government is starting a curfew it'll start today. Some people are complaining as usual but this isn't a game anymore it's time to put everything else to the side and be responsible!
They control the information so who knows.
