@Gorps I remember being told that at the start of WW2, all the metal railings had been cut off and taken away to be melted down for “the war effort”. Then I heard that all the railings they had gathered together wouldn’t even make a tank and it was just an exercise to impress people that there was a war on.
I never learned to ride a bicycle, we didn’t have those street lights yet except on highways, and the water game wasn’t invented until I was older. They did have something like #4 in the park, but that’s really the only one I can relate to.
