Who really changes fashion and why do we wear what we wear?

I think clothing companies keep coming up with new stuff, so that people will spend money every year rather than wear last year's clothes. Fashion is arbitrary and is dictated to us, if we choose to go along.

The last time I paid attention to fashion trends, I was wearing bright green, plaid bell bottoms in the 1960's!

It's a secret plot to make us spend more on clothes !!!

Fashion doesnt interest me. I wear what i like...what i think suits me x

I like mixed vintage fashion for that reason.

I once had a theory on this but I can't remember it.

Something in the 1980's really screwed with fashion. Nothing was right about it. Big hair. Should pads. Heavy Makeup.

Society and culture dictate the presence of absence of clothing...society and culture (though society more than culture) dictates what it should look like and how it should be worn.

We wear to protect ourselves from weather..prying eyes..or to look good

designers and manufacturers that need to replace perfectly good clothing

I don't give a fluck about fashion, I wear whatever I like.
