It is not right to be quick to call someone a criminal just because they're not from our country.

SW-User
Well on the contrary if someone is not from my country and comes here illegally by definition that makes them a criminal
SW-User
@Miram
Crossing the borders illegally isn't a crime in the US. It's a misdemeanor
I won’t judge you too harshly it’s the education system’s fault they failed you
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@SW-User except she's right and you're not. Furthermore asylum seeking is not illegal.
SW-User
@basilfawlty89 no but crossing the border illegally is
Not right to ignore demonstrated real criminal history, beyond immigration status, to give protection to those here illegally either. There ought to be consequences for sanctuary cities and police units that don't support efforts to arrest illegals for other crimes.
@HannibalAteMeOut .. I think there are more real claims of criminals among immigrants than false ones. Therefore I believe in having a vetting process and a legal immigration process .. for people of all backgrounds .. brown, white, asian and any other .. instead of open borders. Your 2 examples aside.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Stillwaiting so, if you assume I'm undocumented or a criminal if I'm Mexican, can I assume you're in the KKK cause you're white?
@basilfawlty89 Read what I've actually said before coming at me like this.

I'm for properly vetting ALL who try to come into the US legally .. regardless of their ethnicity. We have immigration laws .. if you are here outside those laws, I am for you being sent outside the US .. regardless of your ethnicity . White, brown, asian or any other.

There is NOTHING racist about that.

Nearly every sovereign country in the world has immigration laws they enforce. To say its racist for the US to do so as well is the height of hypocrisy and YOU are playing the race card to fit YOUR agenda.
SW-User
You’re right. I only call criminals those who break the law. And I don’t make assumptions according to someone’s skin color as I know how it can feel to be targeted unfairly. Though I have to say, an immigrant who breaks the law should probably go back where they came from.
@SW-User BINGO!!
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@SW-User that was my point, thank you! That people assume, when a crime happens, it must be the foreigner who committed it! They also make up crimes out of situations where there are not any.
To be honest I don't think they should go back, unless the crime has something to do with the system of the country perhaps. If they go back to their country chances are they will roam freely, it will be like a clean slate for them.

@HannibalAteMeOut That’s pure racism... which I am against of.
ChickenNugget · 31-35, M
Amen! Many of them are seeking asylum, and as a result they are protected by international law. They're not criminals.
ChickenNugget · 31-35, M
@HannibalAteMeOut I understand. There's far more to it than what can be summed up in one sentence. I try to keep up with the news in my country and what's going on with the Trump administration. I also live in the south, so it's a real mess.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@ChickenNugget people will be quick to judge those who are also "legal immigrants" according to their own standards. Their racism doesn't stop to the "illegal" ones.
ChickenNugget · 31-35, M
@HannibalAteMeOut I agree. That's just how racism works. They'll use the "illegal" aspect to cover the racism and justify their words and actions.
Tres13 · 51-55, M

Joker2019 · 26-30, M
By law, if you enter any country illegally, you are a criminal. Because you are breaking the law. Doesn't matter what the intention was or who does it.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@HannibalAteMeOut because they're scared of black and brown people. Instead of you know getting to actually know black and brown people.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@basilfawlty89 still I thought they'd be able to read.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
