Are you happy with your echo chamber?

Personally, I prefer when people disagree with me. I want to learn. I want to understand.

When I surround myself with people who only see things the way I do, I get weak. I will be surprised by the thing I don't see coming.

I prefer to have contrarians in my life.

So, why do you fear it?

I like contrarians on SW (as long as they're willing to have an actual discussion), but I can't really handle it irl because I suck at discussing serious disagreements in person.

@BlueVeins It's a skill you should learn. If you can't have face to face conflicts, then I guarantee you have conflicts with others that you cannot influence.

Echo chambers are silly. It goes against the idea of tolerance that so many preach. If I only allowed myself to talk to those who believed exactly as me, that would limit my world immensely.

Well no, I don't think I'd be happy with one of those. Can't say I "prefer" it when people disagree with me, though.
