No I don't. It should be an option specially if they plan on keeping their hair grown after basic training. It would be nice for them to know how to do things with longer hair incase of active duty, id they are taught with a bald head they could definitely get hurt with long hair.

That is actually not allowed. Women have a regulation for minimum hair length.

Tbh, I’m not sure why they don’t, if the men have to. There are specific guidelines for women’s hair length, and in the Navy they have to keep it above the collar, but it’s not as strict as the guidelines for men.
