Lost biggest job bid.. can’t get out of negative space ?

Y’all.. I had a huuuge client thinking about working with my company.. they decided for a very minimal reason that we weren’t good enough.. because our social media presence wasn’t good enough.. I get it but in the scheme of things it’s really minor and not relative to the work we would complete.. the woman said a few rude things during the call and all but hung up on me despite my professionalism.. I can’t get it out of my head or get into a positive space and have been so depressed all day. It takes me back to the days when I had zero clients and no one thought I was good enough.. I persevered since then but.. this one I’m having trouble shaking all those negative thoughts. Any advice ? I think I’m taking it too personal but ugh.. just need to get back to equilibrium.. anyone experience similar? Advice? Please be kind

I hurt my back on a job and had to leave my crew to finish up .
When I come thinking I was picking up a check ,she refuses to pay ,or the paint bill for all the paint I put on her walls ,
But I hung sheet rock ,trim and molding ,washed wall paper glue off the walls where she removed old paper ,repaired floors and laid floor covering ,and she refuses to pay ,and I paid my crew for the job .
She shows me ,one of my guys painted a utility room 2 colors .they were both light colors ,and my guys knew to use lights ,but in my absence I guess they didn't .
I had a compound saw on the job ,one of my guys whittled the miter on shoe molding with his pocket knife ,but all the stuff they did wrong I could have made right in hours ,the paint bill alone was high ,I painted her whole house inside ,trim and base boards ,crown moldings ,walls and ceilings and she stiffs me over such BS ,,
Then she calls my builders (that was how I got the job ,I was refereed)and bad mouths me ,so my builders also question whats happened to the quality of work I am known for ,,I had to prove myself all over again ,and eat a paint and materials bill ,,another contractors wife wrote out my check with a crayon
He had not been paid yet and she assumed that would hold me off getting paid too
My bank laughed ,but they cashed the check .
You run into people like that sometimes ,
You just have to prove them wrong ,that you are the bigger person ,they screwed you ,you were willing to do whatever was needed to make it right .
I see it as their loss ,I do quality work .before I got paid ,I would have been happy as always to light up my work ,and fix anything she was unhappy with .
It never hurt me with my builders ,though I did fire everyone that did that crappy work .
But in remodel and restoration ,it only takes a few bad reports about you're work and you can't buy a job .
Prove they made a mistake ,now you know what to fix
Things like that are part of the learning curve .not the end of the world .

That’s rough, but you could do good social media fairly quickly. Good luck.

@StevetheSleeve I mean we have a presence.. 45 followers.. only been online 2 months. It just wasn’t enough per say. They said they wanted strong .. so like thousands of followers

That's very strange behaviour on her part for a business interaction
