Why was the Milky Way named after a chocolate bar?

Yulianna · 22-25, F
cos they'd already used Mars...

@Yulianna The TMO has the final decision, suck it up.

@KiwiBird TMO... tongue most often? 😏
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@Yulianna A precursor.

Milky Way being White Chocolate is NOT Chocolate it is an OXYMORON. I prefer a Stary Stary night to the abomination of white confectionary masquerading as chocolate.

@KiwiBird Stary Stary night? Rhyming with Airy Airy night? I don't think that would sound right if that guy who sang that "Vincent" song (Don McLean, wasn't it?) sang it like that. Lol :)

@BijouPleasurette Blue and Grey....interesting Chocolate choice.
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
The Three Musketeers named it.

actually, the chocolate bar is named after it... 🤔
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@Yulianna The Romans were however obsessed with mammary glands....they named it “via lactea” but they just stole that of the Greeks who had already named it "galaxias kyklos" maybe after the areola. IDK.

Ironically the guy who invented the milky way was called. Frank Mars. 😂😂😂

@wildbill83
When Frank Mars named the candy bar, he named it the Milky Way because of its milkshake-like filling.
@KiwiBird i don't think we have moved on much from romans... or greeks. i mean, how did those people live in all those ruins?
