How do you personally prepare for a job interview?

This may really sound stupid, but following is a tactic I used when going for interviews when I was young, and it always worked. Resolve this anxiety right now, or it will haunt you the rest of your life. There is always a way to do things. Conquer this right now and make up your mind that you are going to do this. These are skills you will need the rest of your life, so make sure you learn them well, right off, and then you won't have to worry about it ever again. Avoidance is a big mistake. Others have done this and so can you.

Days before I went for an interview, I would imagine that I had already been to this interview and messed it up badly. Naturally, I was angry. So now I imagine I am going into the interview again, but this time, with a straight head...full of confidence, and to make sure that I show them what I'm really made of! That I deserve it just as much as anyone else, instead of being a whimp! I don't back down, I don't look away, but look them straight in the eyes, and I nail it, because I was lucky enough to get a second chance to prove myself, and that...I most certainly did!! And THEN.... I had always put my own "magic touch" on my application, clear at the bottom. I would always write this sentence: 'My goal, is your satisfaction.' I always got the job.

Further, the questions you fear your interviewer might ask, write every one of them down, way ahead of time, and practice the answers until you really have them down pat! Come up with a creative and intelligent SHORT answer, so you do not appear nervous and awkward, but confident. It will make all the difference in the world, and you will not have to go in there afraid, but full of a conquering attitude of confidence in yourself, and it will show, and there will be nothing to be nervous about, because you were prepared!

If you are meant to have the job, you will have it! So go in there like you own the place and show them you have what it takes to do the job! Never Back Down. They love leadership. And only answer the question they ask you. Do not nervously "add-on" extra sentences to impress. Be firm and direct. Play act if you have to. Be friendly, but not overly friendly. Make sure your hair looks good and your body and clothes look clean, especially your shoes. Your shoes tell a lot about you, believe it or not. They do look at your shoes. Do not wear sneakers and make sure your shoes are clean and shined well. That shows them you take pride in yourself and the smallest details about yourself. Do not look down at the floor when you are being spoken to. Let them know you are listening carefully. Let them know you are a quick learner, even if you're not! That is, IF they ask!

Sometimes they ask, "Where do you see yourself in five or 10 years?" I always hated that question, but you mustn't hum-haw around in answering it. I would tell them, "I see myself excelling and improving, each step of the way. I feel when I'm successful, so is the company I work for." You can make up your own, but this shows determination, dedication, good work ethics, that you're a goal setter, and care for the company.

Sadly may back has gotten to bad ,,now I only do small things I can work at my own pace ,,but they are willing to wait

Make a list of things I’m looking for in the employee. Prepare questions which they wouldn’t expect but gives me an insight.

I hate the stupid questions that have nothing to di wit the job and are pseudo psychology

For the most park I wing it. I mean, I do a Google search to try and find more about the company and their values but as far as practice questions and all that I don't bother. I believe in fate so I'm usually unbothered when it comes to having questions sprung upon me plus I'm always mentally prepared anyway.

Know what you’re applying for and a little about the company.

Know your resume and what you’re good at.

Focus a lot on being a team player.

Treat everyone (admin assistants, cleaning staff) with respect.

I struggle to retain information if over think things. I have an interview on Wednesday so on Tuesday evening I will research the company and I will make sure I fully know the job specification.

Music motivation and always say I got this. Well that works for me. I listen to a song that's going to get me amped up go in the interview with my game face on and tell myself this shit is mine I own it.

Come up with some good questions beforehand, learn all you can about the company and role, do finger guns at yourself in the mirror for at least 30 minutes beforehand

I learn as much as I can about both the company and the job. Thankfully, my last interviews were all in my industry and I knew people there already

I learn what I can about the company, what they do and what the department I am applying for does. I look at share price, market news, credit reports.

I have a list of questions I ask them, make it clear I am interviewing them as much as they are interviewing me.

I make sure i am early, massively so, you can always find a cafe nearby to chill out until the interview.
