What is the true value of self?

Is it the one you have for yourself or is it the one other people give you?

Sometimes it's neither. People are often worth more than they or others think. But the critical one is the value you put on yourself. Respect yourself, and others have to rise to that.

I find many women who are mistreated set a low value on themselves, and ultimately get treated badly. Self respect: don't put up with mistreatment from anybody.

The true value of self is what you have for yourself....but should allow for the opinions of others to be considered (which those who are not egomaniacal will do).
There will always be those who overvalue or undervalue themselves....but that will be their own sense of self-worth, independent of what others think (even if it’s based on what they think others think).

Understanding your worth in any given situation.

I don't think we have an innate value. That is something ascribed socially, even if people think they're truly unique.
i don't know right now... it interchanges... 🤔 🥺
