During the lowest point in your life, what made you persist to improve?

I am going through that currently. I suppose it's either fight or die. I've always been the fighting sort in terms of improving my life.

I'm too lazy to commit suicide.
I didn't give my self a choice. During our ordeal, which continues today, I couldn't even think about not doing it. I focus on right now, today. I pick up my head and am grateful that I made it through one more day.

maybe theres hope with surgery .

God might be there but He cant change things by a fingerclap. Concrete things has to be done in order to change things

I was out of work, out of money and couldn’t afford more drugs....and I’m not suicidal.

I decided I didn't want all the things people were predicting about my future to be correct.

My mother especially would say things like "You'll always be lazy, worthless, and no one will ever like you". Well, I started doing everything I could to be the exact opposite of what she saw me as. Not because I desired her approval (that will never happen) but because I wanted her accusations to have no weight. And they don't.

Just the desire to succeed and to give life the middle finger when I get there.
