He’s one of the few PMs that they never mentioned at my school, I guess his failure strikes deep into those who decide the curriculum. @ThePerfectUsername

Churchill. He was not as good as Neville, his predecessor and he was weak during the war. He was OK at writing, after it was over, but not as PM.

@Elandra77 I've heard Churchill accused of a lot of things but never "weak during war".
General consensus is that he was a great general - but a self important alcoholic who, in peacetime, could not compete with a great statesman like Attlee
