I'm not sure in what context someone would be prioritizing political correctness over personal pleasure. Unless that "personal pleasure" is insulting people or purposefully making other people uncomfortable; in which case I think that mostly answers your question.

Fear. Fear of their family and/or friends or co-workers or even SJW's turning on them and attacking them and bullying them. These days, the politically correct will even eat their own young if they do not conform...and conformity is what this is all about.

"Get in line!", "Say what I say!", "Do what I want or I will doxx you!", "If you don't comply, we will not allow you to live!"
