Have you ever given someone a fake name in real life?

No. I don't even give one on here, I'm Jamie Lynn. I will not share a public pic of me because my interests and public life would not collide well but theres nothing that can be found out by my first name alone. I do change the names of some people in my posts from my past.

I would have no reason to give a fake name in [i]real[/i] life. Lies are hard to keep up, what if you bump into them again?

I am horrible at lying. It wouldn't even be funny if I tried.

Really tho once i was out of town and ordered a sandwich and they told me some other girl had the same name as me there (which is rare because my name isnt overly common in this country)

Oh yeah, quite a bit. It's kind of a defense mechanism against people I have no interest in continued interaction with, but don't want to be outright rude with.
