Do you wear glasses? Will you ever have lasix to correct your vision so you need need them anymore?

Or are your glasses so cool, quirky, bold, and such a part of your persona that you will keep them at all costs?😎🤓👓🕶👀❤

I've had glasses since I was young and it doesn't bother me. Surgery would not help, its ok though have no problems
Ian123 · 61-69, M
@Tomorrow and dry when it rains 😀 they should come with tiny windscreen wipers 🤗

@Ian123 Yes! Invent them! Lol

@Tomorrow 😀😄

I did have lasix and it mostly corrected my vision, except for reading newspaper-size print and smaller, and when the light is dim. I do OK with the computer screen though without glasses. So count me as 92.736% OK without glasses.

I think glasses are OK though. My preference is for rimless glasses. High tech ones with titanium sidebars that are (almost) unbreakable.

@Heartlander That split contact thing is a nightmare. For me anyway.

@Tomorrow

I can imagine. I'm a bit of a bing reader/worker and occasionally like to just just read with one eye closed. In my mind it transfers the logic to the other side of the brain in hope of gaining a fresh perspective when there are too much confusion.

A good friend had a bit of a problem with his lasik. One eye took a while to heal.

I did mine along with removing cataracts, so I'm not sure which resulting benefit went with which procedure. Just brightening things up (visually) makes things clearer. Without the cataracts I don't think I would have done the lasik.

@Heartlander I'm glad it's working out for you!

I'm dying to get lasik. I'm sick of the constant feel of glasses on my face, and the struggle of keeping them smudge free.

@DearAmbellina2113 Keeping them smudge free. Ugh. Impossible! That's the worst!
Yes and no. I'm scared lol

@Dewms I had it done 7 years ago and my vision is still good. I have had some deterioration in my vision but that's related to my higher blood pressure nothing to do with the lasik
@SW-User oooo thanks johnies!

@Dewms Welcome Dewmsies, it's well worth the money :)

I don't mind them, if at some point I want to I'll have Lasix.

I wear contacts though I don't wear them anymore, it's been a while since I've bought a set of those, might buy new ones soon, and yeah, if it's a possibility I will have lasik
smrlwrld · 22-25, M
@Tomorrow You got to get used to them, it takes a while and it depends on the type of contacts, rigid or soft
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@smrlwrld I've tried them all. Hard contacts, weighted contacts, soft contact, one near sighted and one far sighted contact together, aqua contacts, disposable contacts, extended wear contacts and the list goes on. I could wear them in my teens but not anymore. My eyes do not cooperate.
smrlwrld · 22-25, M
@Tomorrow Wow, guess it changes from person to person, I can wear them no problem, although I guess that can be different for every specific case, I think lasik is a good alternative, if you qualify for it though, not everyone is a candidate for lasik
I need reading glasses
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@butterflymind1Pick up a pair at the dollar store.
smrlwrld · 22-25, M
Also I suspect my sight got fucked up from watching too much TV, playing with fireworks (I got black powder in my eyes), and from looking at the sun when I was lil kid
SW-User
I’m just not going to spend money on something like that, especially with two kids in college.
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@SW-User Parents.(the good ones anyway) always put the kiddos first.
jasperblue · 46-50, M
I do wear glasses occasionally but refuse to get my eyes corrected.
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@jasperblue Lol. Why?
jasperblue · 46-50, M
@Tomorrow I don't think my eyes are bad enough for lasix.
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@jasperblue Oh. Ha. Ha. I thought you meant you only wore reading glasses and wouldnt see any eye doctor for a corrective lense prescription. 😂
Fauxmyope2 · 26-30, F
Yes, I have worn for over two years. I love wearing my glasses.
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@Fauxmyope2 I wish I could say I love mine.
Fauxmyope2 · 26-30, F
@Tomorrow Why don’t you?
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@Fauxmyope2 Difficult to keep smudge free. Small scratches annoy me. Being progressive bi-folcals with high index compressed lenses, they are so expensive
SW-User
I did for many years, Lasik was the best thing I ever did.
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@SW-User Nice! I am tossing the idea around in my head.
SW-User
no im glad i have great eyesight
Tomorrow · 56-60, F
@SW-User Jelly!
SW-User
I do. And yes I will
