What's the best hot chocolate ever?

I was about to go to bed, but I see you are serious and we should have this talk.

The best hot chocolate is made with chocolate - quality really matters here so get good stuff. 70% cocoa content is about right, but let your tastes guide you.

Grate, shave, or chop the chocolate so it's small and melty. 1-2 ounces worth.

Heat up a cup of milk (whatever milk tastes good to you I don't care). Whisk in 1-2 tablespoons sugar, a pinch of salt, and one tablespoon cocoa powder.

Then remove from heat, and add the chocolate and whisk in with gusto until it's all combined. That's it.

Mix in whatever you want. Booze, spice, throw a marshmallow own, etc. Skip the cocoa and add more chocolate if you want it even richer. 3oz for a cup is probably the ceiling for this.

stir constantly in a pot over med to low flame until steaming, not boiling. it's best to start all ingredients at once while milk is cold, then get stirring with a whisk as the heat rises.

Something with pumpkin spice or raspberry, but never both at the same time.

Take a bar of dark, semi sweer chocolate, and grate it into powder.
Slowly mixe into half and half, NOT milk.
Sweeten it with whipped heavy cream and brown sugar.

When it has a little raspberry in it, awesome! Hershey used to sell an instant like that but they stopped. Land O Lakes has an instant but it has too much raspberry.

One of the best hot chocolates I ever had was from McDonald's believe it or not. But that was about 15-20 years ago 😂

The kind with cinnamon in it.

You gotta melt actual chocolate in it that gives it creamy deliciousness
