Italians in California are very very very different from Italians on the east coast.

It’s like the opposite for Asians.

@Harriet03 freshly cut potatoes but yes all in the oven. Deep fried just isn't possible since I had my gallbladder removed

@Harriet03 this is about most healthy fish n chips... Easy too. Chips in then coat fish in beaten egg then breadcrumbs. Put that in oven too then cook peas. Done

I can do white, wheat, or a blend. Sometimes I’ll add in flaxseeds. I don’t use a bread machine, either. I do it old school with mixers and bread pans. I can also bake hamburger buns, hotdog buns, and rolls from scratch. I don’t do it near as often as I used to though, because I’m not feeding as many people now. Plus, eating copious amounts of bread isn’t the best habit for a diabetic to fall into.

@SW-User Me too! It makes me jealous sometimes, honestly, but so many things do. 😅 I can't really bend like that much at this point, unfortunately, so any gardening I do at this point will just have to be chest level or so. xD

@SW-User It is. I learned to make Gumbo in New Orleans. The Sweet Potato Pie recipe came from Betty Crocker but I had to adjust it because it called for size cans that aren't available

@CountScrofula It's very easy to make actually. But you need a bonafide Vietnamese to show you the magic of making Pho...in person! 🥰 After that, it'll be as easy as making an everyday meal
