Fired for 2nd time? Husband ..

Anyone ever been fired twice? Like two times in a row? ...my husband is an amazing guy, best friend love at first sight.. he’s an attorney and was at firm for 10 years. He started calling in sick a lot after birth of our baby.. they fired him and we found out later they cleaned house and hired a bunch of young people out of school.. fast forward .. he’s unemployed for about 8 months when he finds a job at a competitor firm.. well he butted heads a lot with the people at the firm.. today he was fired after the 90 day mark.. we are shocked and devastated and I can already tell my husband is becoming depressed at the idea of picking himself up by his bootstraps and applying for jobs.. last time his depression lasted like 6-8 months.. I’m so worried.. he ALSO just told me he is about to have to file for bankruptcy... we thank goodness don’t share a lot and my credit is nearly perfect but geeze.. he has like credit card debt and student loans... said he’s going to file chapter 13.. anyone else had a serious of crazy life events hit them all at once ? Did it work out ? Any advice or stories much appreciated
First, he should have been able to take family leave after his child was born. It's a shame more employers don't offer that in the U.S. I was fired once, things worked out well afterward. Both of you should keep your chins up. You're young and have most of your life ahead of you. Things will work out. He should see a doctor for his depression. Improving his depression symptoms will help in his hunt for a new job.

Geeze.
I'd have thought someone who was so obviously depressed himself would show a little more compassion.

That’s rough. He needs to really throw himself into his next job.

Yes. I have had to file bankruptcy. It is hell really. Lost our home. My husband got fired and then we had to move back.in with my in laws. It really did cause serious depression for both of us. I think bankruptcy was the right thing to do in our situation but honestly it is not for everyone the right thing. It will take 10 years to drop off the credit. I am sorry you guys are going through this.

Has he thought about creating his own firm. Maybe with a partner?
