Tips on beating insomnia?

It's 4:30 AM I'm tired but wide awake.
Usually i have medication that helps me get tired but I've ran out...my minds always racing at night 馃槀.

Stop all caffeine. Get off the screen a few hours before you wanna sleep.

@Peaceful May not fix but will certainly aide. People sometimes get angry enough, searching for a larger issue, they forget what they can do help them even if it doesn't cure.

@SW-User caffeine destroys the adrenals. Adrenals modulate sleep. Blue screen activates parts of the brain that keeps us up. This is where I would start and see what happens.

@Peaceful If only the mind and body worked in unison. I do try and follow some of that advice myself, working shift work, and can say it helps.

Don鈥檛 stay up so late !
I have the same problem. The last few days I haven鈥檛 been asleep before around 3-4 am. In the past I鈥檝e tried tea with some bourbon, but that鈥檚 a last resort and I also drink water to feel less hungover when I do wake up.
