Why are some people like me not capable of meaningful conversations without boring myself or the other person?

Sounds like you and them need some people lessons.

To be honest! No one these days has the time to sit and actually have a conversation! look around you at all the friends and couples that are together in groupings! They have chit chat but are so damn connected to the cell phones that every little chime or beep whisp's them away from their present friend or lovers company to shoot text to some one else! Then they walk on or stare blankly are their company or companions or lover because they have left their company for the texting and have no clue where the conversation is at or about any longer! That has lead to not knowing how to have a real and true meaningful conversation!

Okay my rant is over!

Perhaps you are using repetitive things whether words, sentences or figure of speech.

It sounds cliché. No offense.

So awkward,like your forcing a conversation. I've gotten better but hate doing that.
