@lilida I dunno. Brazil speaks Portuguese instead of Spanish so I feel like there's that cultural difference, but I guess the same argument could be made for Haiti with French. It kinda just feels weird for Latin America to stretch all the way from Mexico to the vicinity of Antarctica, but... I'll admit I did look it up after typing that and am objectively wrong.

The U.S. government's Office of Management and Budget has defined Hispanic or Latino people as being those who "trace their origin or descent to Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central, and South America (other than Guyana, French Guiana, and Suriname), and other Spanish cultures".
