Is your personality more or less the same as it was when you were a child?

If not, when did it change?
bowman81 · M
The child is still buried in there, comes out from time to time. A bit more reserved, matured learned a lot of hard lessons.....but if you look close you can still see a twinkle in the eyes. Don't let anyone fool you, the child is always there, just covered with the dust of time.

Depends who I am around. Around my friends I’m silly and a free spirit. Around my husband I’m practically dead. JMO

@Keepitsimple That is the one thing that amazes and impresses me to this day about our relationship...we just naturally and automatically get each other.

It’s incredible when it just clicks. Life is so much better and laughter is good also! 😉@indyjoe

No. When I was a child I was very quiet, and cowed. I didn't know when saying something would get me slapped in the face. I was afraid to speak when we went to visit our relatives, because there were so many things my mother told me I couldn't talk about. She wanted to impress all of her relatives with how great her life was.

I am still quiet in RL if I don't know you. If I do know someone well, and if I trust you, you I will say whatever I am thinking, and I have a good sense of humor most times.

I think it's pretty much the same. I don't think I'm quite as timid as I was when I was a kid, and I'm a little more open-minded now. When my grandma died, when I was 20, it dawned on me that when I die, I won't regret reaching out to someone and being rejected as much as I will regret having kept to myself, and I won't regret having tried and failed as much as I will regret not having tried at all. Losing my grandma made me realize that I only have so much time on earth, and that put some things into perspective. And that helped me not be quite so scared to put myself out there. But I think that other than that, I'm pretty much the same person.

No, I have definitely changed. I'm a lot quieter and laid back. I actually changed about 12 years ago.
Echoing · 61-69, F
same as it always has been. that's the sad part ;-)
indyjoe · 56-60, M
@Echoing Probably nothing sad about it at all.
Echoing · 61-69, F
huh?! @indyjoe cool!... thinking on what you said...maybe so.

It kinda is because I am shy but “sweet” and scared. But I’ve learned to repress my sentiments and act to avoid greater conflicts with people. I also value my time alone greatly as that is the time no one is telling me what to do or what I “should” do.

Less same. I used to scared of thunder but after my mother died, I am getting used to it by myself. I used to ask her to sleep by my side if there is thunder.
Except, I have new phobia. I'm scared to go outside after I got accident. I got dragged using bicycle very painful. I am still using bicycle and avoiding rush hour.

Second, I used to be a follower. I obey to every rules but now I am more like rebellion. I've hard time to digest too many rules.

Either way, I am still introvert. And more not socializing in real world. I'm very difficult person to blend in.

No, it changed after my ex husband turned my entire life upside down.
Rhodesianman · 56-60, M
No its slowly changed over the years .I am not as patient and I am definitely more bad tempered at times and far less trusting of others .
SlovelyNertzo · 26-30, M
I didn't like being hemmed in so I punched people. Now I use words to push people back. That and I don't answer the door or the phone at all.
