Are you tired of hearing about the so-called "Opiod crisis?"

I think it's a joke considering there are far more dangerous drugs out there, e.g Fentanyl, crack cocaine, heroin, flakka, and the rest.

DEA just don't want to get their hands dirty busting meth labs, it's so much easier to bust the Doc's, people with real acute/chronic pain issues.

I would love to see their funding cut by at least half.

Thoughts?

Just regulate the legal manufacturers and stop them pushing the pills through Doctors. Then collate the quantities that Pharmacies are ordering to find the hot spots. Its not rocket science. But the Pharma boys dont like to be regulated. and the politicians do love those donations.
@whowasthatmaskedman Absolutely right!

Flakka, heroin, and fentanyl are opioids. Fentanyl in particular is one of the main drugs prescribed for chronic pain. What you say is the equivalent of saying:

"Are you tired of hearing about green vegetables? I think it's a joke considering there are things much better for you out there, e.g. broccoli, spinach, kale, and the rest."

@HeilHitler I don't think legally prescribed opioids are some sort of "gateway" to heroin, but the rest of what you said here is spot on. People tend not to include alcohol and nicotine in the discussion when the word is "drugs," but they most certainly are drugs. Nicotine has been proven to be more harmful than many illegal drugs, and alcohol can be depending on how it's used.

It's not a joke.

Yes too many people don't want to take responsibility for their own actions.

I certainly am, where's my stash?
I think all First Responders should be able to carry NARCAN. If it saves lives, why not ? I expressed this opinion in the presence of a friend’s neighbor who joked that when “some moron’s kid overdosed on opioids, it’s Darwinism at it’s finest.”
Recently my friend told me the neighbor’s teenage son od’d on some fentanyl laced pot. The EMT had NARCAN, and guess what ? Darwinism spared him. The neighbor has changed his opinion.
