Have you got used to the fact that most people irl could be dishonest and take advantage of you?

I dunno if I believe in goodness among people so much that I still get surprised when some random person doesn't keep his words and tries to fool me and then my friends say it was my fault that I trusted them in the first place.

It happens all the time. My bestie in Toronto had a recent experience with a hot guy in the military trying to con her out of money. He messaged her on Instagram, & they spoke for a mth before his motives became clear. Of course she caught on before anything got serious. She didn’t give in, & he never contacted her again.
