If CO2 emissions are causing global temperatures to rise, why have global temperatures fallen since 2016? Is the earth undergoing global cooling again

I say 'again' because the same media who's reporting on global warming were claiming in 70s that the earth was actually undergoing global cooling and had people believing another ice age was near. Now it's the opposite. I wasn't born in the 70s but people from that time remember how the news media pushed the global cooling theory and that is something people should consider before believing the global warming theory.

Okay, clever dick. We SHOULD be experiencing a cool weather run right now. Because we are close to what is known as a solar minimum. A quiet period the the suns cycle of activity. But we arent. Because the global warming effect is countering that cooling.
In addition, the methods of measuring temperatures have become more sophisticated over the past decade and now include the previously unaccounted warming of the oceans. Big deal I hear you say. Well it is. Warmer oceans contribute to Coral die off, and it is the cold ocean regions that provide the plankton and krill that form the foundation of the ocean food chain as well as driving the ocean current systems like the Gulf Stream. So as the oceans warm, more moisture goes into the air. the winds speed up and weather events at both ends of the spectrum get more extreme. Maybe you have notice the odd flood, fire or Twister around lately??
