What's a word you find disgusting?

Like it makes you cringe at the hearing of it. It doesn't have to have a disgusting connotation.
(It can be any language)

TexChik · F
@SW-User I never respond well to that one
@TexChik don't think any of us do
SW-User
Me either 🙄@TexChik
SW-User
Cunt. I abhor that word and everyone that uses it.
Magenta · F
@SW-User I agree. I have not one ounce of respect for anyone with it in their vocabulary. It's the meaning behind it..
SW-User
@Magenta repugnant, anyone that needs to have it in their vocabulary to use it to try to insult, demean or belittle others are pathetic.
Magenta · F
@SW-User Indeed. Use it in any way. Trashy low mentality.
Sazzio · 31-35, M
Kudimaar (killing of baby girls) as they're girls not boys. Common in India and, shamefully, some "Sikhs" (brainwashed into Hinduism ideology) use it.

Another is "Daaj," (or Biaaj)?? meaning man agrees to marry a woman if she/ her parents can pay the man's family, whether payment or give away land/ property to them. Again in India and again, a few so called "Sikhs" (really Hindus) use it.

I, in UK, married my wife who's in India. My parents and myself didn't ask for a single penny! Instead we gifted n showered them with gifts and love during/ after marriage. My family say one thing, "We are Sikhs. We don't accept Dowry and equally accept baby boy n girls..." Why? We're Sikhs! Not Hindus.
CharlieZ · 70-79, M
@Sazzio "Kudimaar (killing of baby girls) as they're girls not boys"
That´s beyond horror.
You are right on hating that word.
@Sazzio I wish more families could think like us. We're also against dowry..no one in our family has taken or given it. ✌️👍️
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@Sazzio horrible things, some "traditions" should really just be left behind and only keep the good elements.
MrsKatherineArch · 41-45, F
Yes indeed. So unless someone is talking about cake, I don’t care for that word @HannibalAteMeOut
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@MrsKatherineArch hmm cake is a nice word to heal us from all the disgusting ones 😄
MrsKatherineArch · 41-45, F
🍰🎂 yep @HannibalAteMeOut
"low-key" and a lot of the stupid things people say because everyone else says it
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@lovelywarpedlemon like, literally, that's legit
@HannibalAteMeOut lol exactly
SW-User
SW-User
This is not a word. But I find it disgusting and insulting. "Chó đẻ khốn nạn" which means "dog bastard". This is a way Vietnamese people use it as an insult to someone by referring them as stupid as a dog.
SW-User
@SW-User I'll make sure to never say it anywhere near you. :)
SW-User
@SW-User :)
SW-User
@HannibalAteMeOut I know. It is an insult to people as well as dogs.
Bae.

Fuck off with that shit.
Titts ... 🙉
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@Somewhereovertherainbow with double t? 😄
Ishtar · 22-25, F
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@Ishtar I think that word sounds like the action too
Ishtar · 22-25, F
@HannibalAteMeOut yes. IDK what emotions comes over me when I hear the word. Hates even to read or type it actually.
Efforting.

“News Center 8 is efforting to get more information on this story.”
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@Mamapolo2016 sounds so wrong, is that really a verb?
“Effort,” defined by Macmillan Dictionary as “an attempt to do something that is difficult,” is a widely-recognized noun, but “efforting,” which means “trying,” is only defined in one of the 1,061 dictionaries in the OneLook.com database.
@HannibalAteMeOut
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@Mamapolo2016 that one dictionary needs to get burned 😂
rottenrobi · 56-60, F
Egregious, but only when Trump says it. Its the way his mouth moves... it's weird.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@rottenrobi his mouth and the way he pronounces things does seem repulsive to me, even if I didn't know what he's like personality-wise
uniglow · 36-40, M
I really don't like the modern practice of adding "ful" to a noun in order to make it an adjective. I don't mind existing ones like peaceful, tasteful, powerful. It's just the ones created by marketing people. Flavorful was a pet hate until I saw wholesomeful.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@uniglow glad I never heard those 😅
CharlieZ · 70-79, M
In the way it´s contemporarily used: "acceptance".
Other ones: "positive" and "negative", when qualifying emotions.
In the list (a longer one) the qualifyers "My", "Your" (and so on) when precedes "reality".
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@CharlieZ your list is a long one, you're the selective type with words!
CharlieZ · 70-79, M
@HannibalAteMeOut I´m selective cos the use of some words entails, sometimes, hidden assumptions.
My list can be much longer.
But I´ll make it includding one word: Postmodernism.

The C word
Moist
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Enabler - business language is about endlessly trying to find new positive-sounding words and then append them onto whatever stupid bullshit you're doing. Enabler is super popular right now and I -hate- it.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@CountScrofula I totally get the annoyance!

No words specifically but this reminds me of a challenge I once saw, 'words that look dirty but aren't'.
My favourite was 'titular'.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@GeniUs hahahaha oh well that makes it
SW-User
whenever someone calls me Dear, i wanna punch them so hard that their future babies feel the pain
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@SW-User I always liked the word dear 😯 but noted. Child.
SW-User
Anything that makes me think of genitalia.
SW-User
😫 There goes my appetite.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@SW-User sorry 😥

🤗
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@CrazyMusicLover how did you ever even come across it? 😄
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@HannibalAteMeOut I like butterflies and read about them from time to time. But it has a longer story. My parents used to mention some stupid words I babbled as a baby and there was pupa in it and also something about pooping. It makes me instantly disgusted when I hear it. So when I learned there's actually such word in English I was like... 😖
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@CrazyMusicLover hahaha that's funny but makes sense

Wol62 · 51-55, M
@HannibalAteMeOut Well she said I messed her pussy/cunt up.
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@Wol62 it doesn't exactly mean that, you can use it for more general disasters too 😂
Wol62 · 51-55, M
@HannibalAteMeOut Well that is what she meant right?
kodiac · 22-25, M
The n word .
HannibalAteMeOut · 22-25, F
@kodiac fair enough
TexChik · F
@kodiac I would have more of an issue with it if it wasn’t a staple of the African American vocabulary ...
kodiac · 22-25, M
@TexChik True!I guess it's all about context.
