God of Christianity/Islam?

Do Christians and Muslims believe they are worshipping the same God?
The same God but using a different name Allah/Jehovah.

If they are the same then muslims would have no trouble worshiping with Christians in Church. I have been to mosque and the two g(G)ods are diametrically opposites. allah is the god of slavery. Yahweh is the GOD of Freedom.

well I can speak for everyone
But I believe Christ is the creator
The Holy Spirit is another form of Him that dwells in the Born Again
Islam says its the greatest sin to think Christ is the only begotton son of God ,,aka antichrist
Christ also warned that even if an angel spoke another Gospel then the one He taught ,,its not of God
800 yrs later ,that is exactly how the Quran was suppose to have been written
Gabriel ,the same angel who told Mary she was carrying Gods son ,,said it was a sin to believe that ,,
Christ Himself quoted from the scriptures we now call the old testament
The things the Prophets foretold have come to pass

So I am not going to knock their beliefs
I myself ,I could not trust them
And "Thou shalt not murder" was written in stone by Christs finger
Any religion that thinks I should not live because I am not Muslim
I also have an issue with that
I have studied the Quran with Muslims
I kept asking questions and the only answers I kept getting was "You need to consult a scholar "
Apparently they were not sure what they believed either
all they were sure of was I needed to convert to Islam
and my beliefs were the worst sins ,,worthy of death
There is only one God, who is worshipped in different ways in different hearts... that is the whole devine....

'the god' (allah) is not the same as I AM (YAHWEH). allah is satanic in origin.

God went to Abraham who was married to Sarah and told him that he would give him a son. Abraham and Sarah were in old age and childless. Many years passed and the son had not arrived so Sarah said to Abraham "Go lay with my maid servant Hagar". Abraham did and Ismael was born. Afterwards Sarah had a son, Issac.
The Christians believe that Issac was the promised son and therefore their spiritual father. Muslims believe that Ismael is their spiritual father as he was the first born.
Same God.

@curiosi Issac and Ishmael are symbols of humanity's efforts to attain God's promises. Ishmael is the child of slavery and the result of mankind's effort to attain God's promises by its own effort. Thus mankind sets up all kinds of rules and regulations and rituals to prove to God it is deserving of the Promise made at the time of the fall.
Issac is the son of the promise. Born of the free woman not the slave woman. He was born when it was humanly impossible for him to be born to show mankind that God's promises are not in vain. God alone will provide a way and all our rules and regulations and rituals do not not please God. In fact they insult Him because it shows we do not trust Him to fulfill His promise.
For it is by Grace (God's Gift) we are saved not by our works lest any man boast.

I believe that God is God. You can call Him by other names, but He is still God, the Supreme Being of all the universe.

If you are serious about your post, I can break it down for you , otherwise...
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Pfuzylogic I could have said that yes. Then again I'm not looking for an answer that would gain 100% credits on a dissertation. Just a simple yes or no.
You have a tendency to over complicate things in the hope that people will be impressed by your lexicon.
Let me assure you it doesn't work. People just come to the conclusion that you are a first class tosser.

@Entwistle
You are welcome.
If I had come for an insult I would have gone to a post with someone skilled.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@Pfuzylogic There was no insult. Just an astute observation. Still the fact you think there was an insult tells me a lot.
You are welcome.

No, Jesus is a prophet for Muslims, not God in the flesh.

The same God as Jews and Abraham as well

Yes I think so.

They should believe it:

I think so. We just call Him by different names, and the attributes we assign to Him are a bit different. There is only one God, we just perceive Him differently.

Okay. So a Christian could and would go into a Mosque to pray to God If they wished? Or a Muslim into a Church?
Yeah, it's like someone who has two nicknames lol
BiblicalWarrior · 51-55, M
Definitely not. This chart will explain:
