I actually don't think of things I like as good. I think of them as comfortable. Or comforting. Things I don't like I think of as trash. My definition of evil would be something bad that is happening that no one can stop or stop to late.

Although evil is a word that many consider to be biblical or something similar. It isn't to me. It is simply a word to emphasis a bad thing. Like the worst thing that no one was able to have an influence over or stop.

Evil bad action that can not be described. Good fluffy sheets.

Interesting. It sounds like, to you, good and evil are no different than “luck” bad luck happens its evil. Going off your definition anyway. But you say “evil is something bad” and again i ask, what does “bad” mean to you? Something unfavorable? Uncomfortable? If thats the case, how about this? Something “bad” happens to you but it benefits someone else. Lets say, someone who is in a less favorable living condition as you. This “bad” thing that happened to you has been nothing but beneficial to this person who has it “hard” is it still evil then? @Argile3000

I actually don't like to use the word evil. I associate it with victomhood. People often use the word evil almost like a blanket statement. As in "it's just evil or their just evil." When doing this they haven't actually said anything. Merely showing contempt.

I believe the words I would use to describe the example you gave would be unfortunate for me and fortunate for the other person.

I once had a professor that disliked the word fine. If we used that word in an assignment we would be docked one letter grade. She challenged us to find more descriptive words than fine. If you look up the word's definition, it's actually a darn fine descriptive word. It's like good only better. LOL

Tolerance is the short answer. The will to understand is the best answer I think. @Elandra77

@Argile3000 Great answer and you may be on to something!! I am an old hippie. A flower child of the 1960's with values of the times. I oft think that we were on the right path in many ways. We wanted love, tolerance, acceptance and wanted it for all. Being the idealists that we were was also our downfall.
