Why bother?

I keep my circle small for a reason, I don’t like people. The one person I’ve been friends with for half my life, who I’m always there for when they’re always feeling down about something, chooses to try and bring me down and make me feel like shit too just to make them feel better, make me the centre of a joke at every opportunity. I guess there’s a reason why I don’t confide in them, like they confide in me.

Yeh I've known a lot of ppl like that. We can all be insensitive at times and upset others, but although one doesn't have to apologise I always do because that's who I wish to be. Ppl are also caught up in how others see them and believe apologising makes them look weak, so they're scared to do so in case it affects their image.

@Cloud7593 I’ve learnt to accept that, but when it’s the one person I do trust and consider family, that does hurt.
