What do you have to lose if you just go for it?

There's a little story that might give you my answer to this question...There was this little dog who had found himself a really good steak. As he was carrying it home he came to this deep brook with a bridge crossing it, and as he crossed over this bridge he happened to look over the side. He saw another dog with a steak even bigger than his. He thought to himself "why should I just take this little steak home when I can take that other dog's steak and have them both?" He tried to grab that other dog's steak and when he did the one he was holding dropped from his mouth into the water and sank to the bottom out of sight. Dejected that he not only didn't have that bigger steak but had also lost his own...he went on his way with his head hung low.

Probably my sanity.
