What could be wrong with it?

I've got a 93 chevy c1500. One day, it wouldn't start. Just clicked as I turned the ignition. He seemed confident it was the starter. So we had it tested, it failed, bought a new one, the car ran for the rest of the day. Then this morning it was back to clicking. The starter couldn't have gone bad again already, right? Not after just one day. Any ideas what else it might be? It's not just battery. Everything is lighting and sounding off just fine. Even got a new battery just in case.

Check the alternator, and ensure the battery is charging properly. Could be one, the other, or both.

Could also be a faulty ignition switch that lets you remove the key when the switch is still on accessory - I saw that in a late 90s Durango once. The kicker here is you think the car is off, but the switch is still set to power all the lights and creature comforts, which will definitely drain your battery overnight. Make sure the switch is in the off position before removing the key.

Hit the starter with a wrench first

Test the charging system, for sure. I went down a rabbit hole when the harmonic balance froze up on my 97 Acura.
