Is being a kind soul a thankless job?

Abrienda · 26-30, F
To be kind and expect to be "thanked" brings to question why you are doing it in the first place. Are you really being kind for kindness sake because you think it is the correct way to behave or you doing it to be praised for how wonderful you are, which is vanity?

The real reward kindness is supposed to bring you is not man's thanks anyway but God's appreciation, to follow in the path of Jesus. If you are hoping your kindness will bring you the thanks of people then you will have a long and lonely wait.

No being a kind soul is reward enough.
Only if your giving what you can't. You have to take care of yourself before you can help others (unless they are your leaches... I mean children)
No. It’s the only thing that makes me not feel pathetic and worthless for a little while at least.

If it's a job you're doing it wrong

No. It's a punishable job.
