When you answer questions on SW

do you read the replies that others have shared first or just reply then read what others have replied after if at all?

I usually read the replies first (unless there are too many to read in a reasonable amount of time) before responding, in case someone else has already said what I want to say. And on occasion, I read something in the replies that changes what I want to say, because perhaps what I wanted to say is no longer applicable. It happens sometimes.
