Do you think more people should be grateful for for what they have?

Some people seem to want more but be unwilling to do anything about it or see the things they already have

I believe gratitude is essential to a happy existence. I am thankful for each day I am given, even the ones that are filled with intense pain.

I'm only human, of course I would like a little better or a little more....but I am very grateful for and happy with what I have. I am not greedy, I just want to take an already good thing and make it even better if at all possible. However, if not, there would be no disappointments or regrets.

@Kerrmit84 That's why I said there would be none...we shouldn't. Like I said I'm very happy with what I already have, so if I don't get or achieve that little extra then I won't regret not doing so. Make sense?

@indyjoe yes, sorry I misunderstood before

@Kerrmit84 Not a problem.

Yes. People should definitely take more self inventory. As far as wanting more than one has, they should settle for what they do have and be happy with that if they aren't going to do anything to better their self.

@Dainbramadge exactly

Yes,i do.Personally,i always make a mental gratitude list for that which i have i.e. enjoying overall good health and still not being required to wear glasses when driving.Thank you for your good question.Take care!

Gratitude is important and wanting more is natural but some ppl don't believe they can do anything about the things they wish to change. You can put all your energy into achieving that thing but still get no where, so it's not surprising one can give up due to loss of passion. I feel very much like this for example with relationships.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@Kerrmit84 my problem is relationships I don't trust ppl so I can't get close. The relationships I've had have been more damaging to myself and others than beneficial.

So work on getting what you want out of a relationship. There is an Area to work on if you want to change. If not be grateful for the things you do have

@JovialPlutonian I feel the same way. I am all done playing that game. Yo much damage when it's over.

Counting your blessings is important if you want happiness.
